Nespresso Lattissima Coffee Maker Review
The Lattissima enhances Nespresso's brewing with one touch to the next level. It can brew espresso and lungo in under an hour, and can accept an array of capsules from the company.
It is also easy to modify the machine's settings to make the exact drink you want. This is a great feature for busy households.
Simple to use
This black Nespresso machine, which is basic in appearance, is simple to maintain and use. It is simple and minimalist in design, with just one button on the top that regulates everything from powering rinsing to the brewing process. Simply remove the lid, insert the capsule and click to start the brewing. It heats quickly and offers many drink options including a double-shot espresso or a 5-, 8 or 18-ounce cup of coffee. It also comes with a steaming tool to give a cafe-like feel to your drinks. Although we like its simple interface and compact design, we found that the machine doesn't perform better than more expensive models in making rich coffee and espresso. It's also not as simple to recycle capsules as other machines we tested. This is why Nespresso isn't one of the top choices for our side-byside test.
Quick to make a cup of tea
The Nespresso machine can make the perfect cup of coffee in around 15 seconds. The heated water from the reservoir enters through a pump, and then penetrates tiny holes in the top of the coffee pod. It is then mixed with the compacted ground coffee inside before dripping into your cup. The machine created a rich, flavorful espresso with a hint of bite when we tested it with Jones Brothers and Bestpresso coffee capsules. We also tried whole, almond milk and 2% and found that all performed well.
